Week 4 of 4 in Micro Cycle
“Lean and Mean”
1.) The Strongside Competition is getting close! We are keeping the same format until the competition. Mondays will remain a grinder/jam session, Tuesday will be focused on a comp bases/Open WOD and Wednesdays we will be practicing one of the events. It’s going to be a blast!
2.) Your strength training is a little light (in how often we are doing it) just until the comp to make sure your skill and motor is high. This means that when you lift you need to put 100% into it. Stick to the % and give everything so you keep your strength and progress on schedule.
3.) The formats this week and next week get a little complex but the basis of it is sprint intervals to raise capacity – basically the time domains are designed to hurt and hurt bad – give 100%! Push hard to reap the benefits, remember “no intensity, no result” – you can die so much deeper than you think and when you do, it’s quite amazing 🙂
