Week 1 Of 4 In Micro Cycle 3 Of 5
1.) New Week and New Training Cycle! We are still in the large Meso Cycle of “Lean & Mean, however the small Micro Cycle has changed. This week and next week will contain a lot of test. Over the last 6-8 weeks, you have isolated a lot of muscles and movements to target growth and progress – which you have done. Now we want to see it applied. We will start implementing barbell complex work and power movements.
2.) As discussed the last few weeks in class, we are not exiting from isolation work, however, I do want to see you apply the strength you’ve gained in the next 2 weeks. We are going to spend a good bit of time on Monday and Tuesday dialing in snatch drills and split jerk drills. We want you to feel very confident and comfortable going under the bar and utilizing it to your advantage. Do not let the training fool you – some of the hardest things you’ll ever do with a barbell are technique drills. You are also learning 4 new movements this week and you’ll be targeting a lot of isometric strength to build your midline and joint stability.
3.) New cycles and new phases are always fun! Lets learn some new stuff, have a lot of fun and progress your body!
