Week 3 Of 5 In Micro Cycle 2 Of 5
1.) The Open season is going great! We are 2 weeks in and 3 to go. Your bodies look fresh, strong and ready to perform. I know that our training and recovery is on point because many of you have elected to and/or have felt well enough to repeat the workouts for better scores. This has been our primary focus and you’re meeting the objective!
2.) This week will follow the same objective, you’ll just see a little more focus on intensity. As we stated before The Open started, as the weeks go on, we start to know which exercises will be eliminated and that helps with your programming. We are honing in on the exercise that may be left for practice.
3.) We are focusing a lot on repeat intensity intervals. This will allow you to get a lot of work done but the recovery rate will not be long. We will be hitting hard intervals over and over again. We will go over specific objectives in class of goal times, how to accelerate your performance, and to attack the session. This will play a critical roll in this weeks training.
4.) All in all, just keep doing what you’re doing. Keep paying attention to your body, address anything that may pop up form tight muscles to a twinge, to a sore muscle. If it aggravates you, get it taken care of ASAP so it doesn’t affect you during The Open. If nothing aggravates you, GREAT!! Keep working on mobility and stretching so nothing ever pops up.
