Week 4 Of 4 in Micro Cycle 1 Of 5
1.) We are in full force prep for The Open!! :). Last week and this week have had massive capacity work, development, and coaching around capacity. This is going be key in The Open and your overall fitness. The better you can manage your intensity and output, the better your performance will be.
2.) We are still focusing a lot of moments and coaching movements for intensity based training. You will notice that nearly every day we will be breaking down a moment and learning that movement well to do for skill and intensity (speed). This week is week 4 in the training cycle s next week we enter a new 4 weeks cycle where we will shift the focus a tad on movements. We will focus on the snatch, OHS, Pull-ups and a few other modalities.
3.) Keep up with the members group on facebook! :). We are starting to announce who has signed up for The Open, the draft, and so much more! We are going to have a blast this year and I want you to be a part of it! Get involved! 🙂
4.) Lastly, I cannot preach it enough – body care! Intensity is going up, the expectations you have on your self will go up, you’re doing more work faster and you’re getting better! Arrive a few min early and get to work warming up. Please stay just a few min after to hit the cool down, really stretch out and feel good. I know you’re busy but you want to do everyone in your power to prevent against a pulled muscle or an achey body. Part of being fit is feeling good and I want you to feel good! :). Please reach out for warm-up or cool down help. You may feel great now without warming up or cooling down but one day an injury will show up and you’ll wish you had been stretching months before the injury happens.
