Hey there. I’m Jodi.
I was an active child and enjoyed playing many sports including soccer, tennis and volleyball. After college I joined a local gym and began taking my first group fitness classes. I was hooked. Over the years I took every type of class I could- spin, step aerobics, jazzercise, zumba- you get the point.
While I have always been active; I also struggled keeping my weight where I wanted it and I struggled even more with body image issues. In fact, it wasn’t until both of my boys were in High School and I had been doing functional fitness classes for a few years that I realized I no longer cared about the number on the scale. I only wanted to get stronger and learn new skills. I learned to climb a rope and do my first strict pullup at 50+ years of age. I learned the value of properly fueling my body with good quality protein and I stopped being scared of carbs. I feel like a kid again.
In 2022 I earned my CrossFit Level 1 Certification and have been coaching at STRONGSIDE since early 2023. I have finally found a way to share my love of fitness and good health while connecting with others. I love to help our members learn new movements, lift more weight and step onto the competition floor for the 1st time in their lives. It’s so rewarding and I am ready to help you reach your goals.
When I am not at the gym I can be found playing doubles tennis, cooking for my family, traveling or hanging out with my husband and pittie-mix, Bella.
