This is a De-Load week for The Strongside Competition 2016! The goal is to keep athletes fresh, mobile and recovered for this weekend.
.) This week is a De-Load week for the competition this weekend. The goal is to keep you fresh and smooth while stimulating your muscles just enough to keep you strong and mobile. We will have a lot of accessory and isolation work and we will limit the complex movements to let your body heal.
.) If you’re competing this weekend then everything is to be done at 85% intensity/effort and if you’re not competing then feel free to just DESTROY it :). These interval based conditioning segments are designed to keep you fresh but they also give someone not competing, the opportunity to go hard.
.) If you are competing this weekend, attendance if actually your friend. It’s better to come and move well and follow this weeks training rather “resting” and relaxing this week. You’ll feel worse at the comp this weekend if you do that.
.) If you plan to do any last minute testing of the workouts, do not do it in its entirety. Practice 40-50% of the workout at 70-80% effort s you can learn from it and develop a game plan.
